Overview:


 

Starting Pay at $34.82/HR, pay will commensurate with expereince

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-4:30p), 40 hrs/week

The Family AIDS Clinic and Education Services (FACES) program at Nationwide Children's Hospital is central Ohio’s primary pediatric and family HIV clinic, serving more than 400 HIV-positive clients in at least 40 counties and providing comprehensive care to HIV-infected children, youth, and families.

FACES provides family-centered, community-based care to HIV-infected children, their families, and adults. In addition, the program promotes and implements educational activities around HIV prevention, including prevention of perinatal transmission and educating patients and family members about access to clinical trials.

Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.


 

Job Description:


 

Essential Functions:

  • Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes.
  • Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.


Education Requirement:

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Licensure Requirement:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, required.


Certifications:

AHA BLS Certification, required.


Experience:

Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
