General Description:
The Development Coordinator will report to the Director of Development and Public Relations and will perform administrative duties related to fundraising, marketing, and public relations and will gain firsthand experience in strategic planning to increase the capacity of a growing non-profit organization. Additionally, the Development Coordinator will be involved with stewardship activities related to non-profit fundraising and relationship management, including creating and implementing the fundraising, development and communications strategy for Netcare Access, as well as donor and grant research and tracking.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to create and implement fundraising strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, foundations, corporate sponsorships, and individual donors.
- Assist in writing grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor appeals to secure financial support.
- Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and communications through donor database.
- Foster donor cultivation and retention efforts.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising events, community outreach programs, and awareness campaigns.
- Contribute to social media and online fundraising campaigns to engage supporters and raise awareness about the organization's mission.
- Provide general administrative support to the development team, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials for presentations.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey the organization's mission effectively.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of social media tools and advertising practices: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.
- Ability to work with clients, staff, board members and community members of all backgrounds and maintaining a professional disposition.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical fundraising practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in in a related field (e.g. Communications, English, Marketing, Public Relations) strongly preferred
- Proven experience in non-profit fundraising, donor relations, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s license
- 3-5 years in non-profit-related experience or work in marketing, development, or public relations
