Electrical SME, Data CentersĀ 

What this job involves -Ā 

What this job involves: As an Electrician at JLL, you will play a critical role inĀ maintainingĀ the electrical infrastructure of mission-critical data center facilities.Ā You'llĀ ensure the reliable operation of high-voltage electrical systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and power distribution units that support our clients' digital operations. This position requiresĀ expertiseĀ in complex electrical systemsĀ operatingĀ in a 24/7 environment where downtime is not an option.Ā 

Your day-to-day tasks will include -Ā 

  • Install,Ā maintain, and repair electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and emergency generatorsĀ 

  • Perform preventive maintenance on critical power infrastructure including battery systems, automatic transfer switches, and power distribution units (PDUs)Ā 

  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and power quality issues using advanced diagnostic equipment and monitoring systemsĀ 

  • Execute planned maintenance activities during scheduled maintenance windows to minimize client impactĀ 

  • Respond to emergency electrical issues and power outages with urgency and precisionĀ 

  • Collaborate with facility engineers and technicians toĀ optimizeĀ power efficiency and system reliabilityĀ 

  • MaintainĀ accurateĀ documentation of all electrical work, including maintenance logs, incident reports, and system modificationsĀ 

  • Support electrical upgrades and expansions to accommodate growing data center capacity requirementsĀ 

  • Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, and data center industry standardsĀ 

  • Be the first point of contact for service impacting events involving the electrical distribution system.Ā 

  • AssistĀ the team in troubleshooting and mitigating incidents.Ā 

  • AssistĀ in the creation of root cause analysis (RCAs).Ā 

  • Be available for after-hoursĀ supportĀ regardingĀ the electrical distribution systems.Ā 

  • This includes 24x7 responses.Ā 

Desired experience and technical skills -Ā 

Requirements:Ā 

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial electrical experienceĀ 

  • Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, and automatic transfer switchesĀ 

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and technical documentationĀ 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power quality analyzersĀ 

  • Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, andĀ lift upĀ to 50Ā lbs.Ā 

  • Experience with medium voltage switchgear and electrical distribution systemsĀ 

Preferred:Ā 

  • Experience with Schneider Electric, Eaton, or similar UPS/power equipmentĀ 

  • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and electrical monitoring platformsĀ
