We are looking for a talented Cross-functional Engineering Associate to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Independently builds and debugs new analog and digital circuit designs.  
  • Analyzes and repairs circuit boards, including fine pitch.  
  • Troubleshoots circuits of moderate to advanced complexity.  
  • Performs tests on circuit design using approved test equipment and test setups.  
  • Builds wiring assemblies and supports mechanical assemblies to house electronic circuits-flex-tester, load boxes, life test, racks, etc.  Uses advanced electronics diagnostics and test equipment such as logic analyzers, probes, and digital oscilloscopes.\ Reports on test results.  
  • Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.  
  • Works with and train apprentices and technicians.  
  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.  
  • Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.  Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.  
  • Leads and participates in improvement projects.  
  • Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers.  
  • Knows and complies with departmental and company safety policies and procedures.  
  • Demonstrates confidentiality as required.  
  • Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.  
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to get the job done.
