We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician with at least five (5) years of commercial maintenance experience, including strong hands-on work with 208V and 480V systems. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable, safety-focused maintenance electrician who takes pride in troubleshooting complex systems and maintaining reliable facility operations.
Experience working in historic or aging facilities is a plus.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will apply your working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA standards to maintain and repair a wide range of building systems. You will work both independently and as part of a facilities team to ensure electrical systems remain safe, functional, and code compliant.
The strongest candidates will bring:
•    Five or more years of commercial or institutional electrical maintenance experience
•    Demonstrated experience with 208V and 480V electrical systems
•    Solid understanding of NEC and electrical safety best practices
•    Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
•    Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems
•    Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
•    Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in mechanical rooms, on ladders, and in varying conditions
•    A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and long-term system reliability
•    Experience working in historic facilities or older infrastructure is highly desirable.

•    Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical panels, conduits, motors, transformers, switches, and related equipment
•    Troubleshooting and servicing 208V and 480V systems
•    Maintaining lighting systems (fixtures, ballasts, switches, fuses, exterior lighting)

•    Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
•    Preparing material lists and cost estimates for repair and maintenance projects
•    Supporting and improving preventative maintenance programs
•    Maintaining inventory and ordering electrical parts and supplies
•    Responding to emergency system issues, including after-hours call-back as needed
•    Performing general building maintenance tasks (HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting) when required
•    Monitoring contract work to ensure safety and quality standards are met
•    Conducting inspections, documenting findings, and initiating work orders
