Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant. This position is responsible for support and administration of HR programs as needed with particular emphasis on front desk responsibilities such as assisting employees with walk up problems. Other duties may include filing, database management and providing backup support to Switchboard Receptionist.

 

Fundamental Job Tasks

Responsible for referring individuals or departments to the appropriate Human Resources Representative to resolve the issue that brought them to HR.  Coordinates activities with people within and outside the HR department.  Verbally informs employees of policies, procedures and answers questions in person and on the phone.  

 

Submits temp employee hours and processes labor invoices on a weekly basis.  Generates related reporting on a monthly basis.

 

Creates new employee files.  Files forms and paperwork in the appropriate location.  Updates employee information in Dayforce and other databases.  Follows up on missing documents. Creates and updates turnover reports and other reports as needed.

 

Manages vacation allotment data and tracking in Dayforce.

 

Monitors and administers exit interview process.

 

Administers annual employee survey.

 

Manages Franklin apparel inventory, places orders for apparel, tracks inventory and keeps up with demand.

 

Maintains relations with employees and applicants, dealing with individuals on work related issues. Works closely with others on HR team. 

 

Analyzes and interprets company policies, rules, laws, the union agreement, etc., in ways which are consistent with the regulations, and are also supportive of Franklin’s mission, values, and goals.              Appraises situations of highly confidential nature and takes appropriate action.

 

Knowledge and Skills

High school diploma/GED and 2 years of HR experience or 5-8 years of office administration experience required or actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources.  Computer literacy and Microsoft Office experience required. Comfortable with face-to-face interactions and communicates professionally. Knowledge and experience with an HCM, especially Dayforce, is a plus.  Exposure to recruiting is preferred.
