RESPONSIBILITIES The Job_Title_Here for La Jornada will perform duties including, but not limited to: Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies. Provide new device setup, configuration, and deployment of PCs/laptops, Chromebooks, cell phones, other employee-issued IT equipment. Support the IT team in the maintenance of hardware, software, and other systems. Run software updates and backups when requested. Provide additional Help Desk support for PCs/laptops, end user, hardware and software support. May research unusual bugs or issues that are encountered. Maintain IT La Jornada inventory. Performs other duties as requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED equivalent. IT certifications, or in pursuit of certifications, or in pursuit of a degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering preferred. Experience with device setup and configuration preferred. Ideal candidate has some education/experience in programming, database management, and technologies like MS SQL, Exchange, Access, and .Net frameworks. Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. OTHER SKILLS Excellent customer service and communication skills. Sensitive to cultural diversity. Enthusiastic self-starter. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Effective problem solving and decision making skills. Works independently and as a team member. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity. Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands. Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying. Ability to travel frequently and drive vehicle while sitting for extended periods, with frequency varying based on program demands.
