YOU
As a Receptionist you are the face of Simpson Strong-Tie, you will often serve as the first touchpoint for Simpson customers and visitors. You will primarily be responsible for answering phone calls and routing callers, timely and accurately, to the appropriate personnel. The ideal candidate for this role is punctual, reliable, and takes great pride in representing the company.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Operate a multi-line telephone system, professionally answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate departments or personnel. (80%)
Process outgoing mail by operating postage equipment and preparing daily invoice mailings. (5%)
Welcome clients, customers, vendors, and delivery personnel in a friendly and professional manner. This includes: Managing the visitor check-in process by issuing visitor badges, maintaining sign-in logs, and ensuring compliance with company safety and security procedures. (5%)
Enter and process customer orders accurately within the SAP system. (5%)
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Office and Events Team as needed. (5%)
Perform general office and clerical duties, including filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED), required.
- 1-6 months of related experience and/or training.
- Dependable and accountable, with a commitment to regular, punctual attendance.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and appropriately with customers, visitors, and team members.
- Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to handle routine situations using established procedures and good judgment.
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple responsibilities, and adjust priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Positive, professional demeanor with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information. Maintains the privacy and security of employee, customer, business, and other proprietary information in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.

PAY
$17.60 - $26.39 / hour
