The Senior Billing Analyst is a key resource for the client’s billing team and will be responsible for all aspects of client billing including bill preparation, daily process administration, research and analysis, troubleshooting, problem resolution, reporting and any special assignments. The position is also responsible for creating budget projections for clients, assisting in some collections, interpreting, and communicating client billing guidelines in support of both client and colleagues and coordinating special billing arrangements. Job duties include performing work editing, preparing or processing legal invoices and prebills/proformas according to established procedures and guidelines; submitting and managing rejections of electronic invoices in designated client system; assisting customers with billing/ebilling inquiries, troubleshooting issues and following-up with operational areas on the client side; understanding and complying with all assigned client billing guidelines and demonstrating understanding through use of effective communication; meeting contracted deadlines for accepting, completing, and delivering all work; executing accruals, budgets, and information and data requests; executing monthly invoices as assigned; providing exemplary support to client partners and Williams Lea supervisors and managers; providing workflow guidance to more junior team members; serving as value-added subject matter expert and support resource for billing staff; performing daily departmental duties as assigned; ensuring the team is current on relevant billing topics and activity; collaborating with other financial colleagues to resolve issues and ensure optimal execution of departmental responsibilities; communicating issues and resolutions timely, effectively, and professionally; serving as back up to fellow team members, as appropriate; proactively recommending process and procedural enhancements including documenting processes and improvements; assisting with updating documentation relating to special billing arrangements; creating and maintaining required spreadsheets to track/monitor various functions as needed; interacting with clients in person, over the phone or electronically with care and professionalism; completing special projects as assigned; adhering to Williams Lea policies in addition to client site policies; training new Billing Analysts/Associates.
