Arts and Sciences | Molecular Genetics AdministrationThe Williams lab in the Department of Molecular Genetics is seeking a passionate and motivated research technician to help establish our new lab at OSU. Research in the lab focuses on the coordination of embryonic development using genetic, live imaging, and synthetic embryology approaches in zebrafish. Responsibilities include genotyping and maintaining a zebrafish colony, ordering and preparing supplies and reagents, and carrying out experiments under the guidance of senior lab members.
Minimum Qualifications Required High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required.
Desired Qualifications Bachelors degree and laboratory experience. Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and an eagerness to learn are essential. Applicants with experience in zebrafish, molecular biology, and/or programming are particularly encouraged to apply, but we are happy to provide training in necessary laboratory skills.
