Job Description

As a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine rounds, observe for unusual activity, document findings, and coordinate with site contacts and Allied Universal teammates. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Control access at entrances and/or gates by verifying identification, managing visitor and vendor check-in, and monitoring deliveries and pickups in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing timely notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
