Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production or distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, unusual conditions, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
