Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Lobby Driver in Gahanna, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a utilities location, you will create a welcoming, professional presence while monitoring access, assisting visitors, and supporting security-related procedures. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will help to deter incidents through attentive observation, clear communication, and exceptional customer service, reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, teamwork-driven, and integrity-focused values.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at the front desk of a utility location, following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Monitor access points, alarm panels, cameras, and communication systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity or equipment concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate departments, and maintain clear communication with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
