The Team You Will Join

You will strategize, forecast, analyze, audit, research and lead important decisions.

Who You Are

As the Senior Accountant, you will ensure that all financial reporting and analysis are generated for the respective projects within the accounting and LPM department, particularly the Home business functions. In this role, you’ll assist with accounts payable, general ledger and job cost related activities to support the management operations. 

The Difference You Will Make

  • Prepare accurate and timely accrual basis financial statements for the Home business unit in accordance with close checklists.

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations including analysis of key accounts.

  • Produce accurate monthly consolidated financial reporting by investor group.

  • Assist with other monthly and quarterly reporting requirements.

  • Complete cash reconciliations and cash flow forecasting for required accounts.

  • Prepare monthly draws for redevelopment and asset integrity projects. 

  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset working to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the monthly close process.

  • Maintain appropriate communication with Supervisor through close process to identify and address potential delays.

  • Communicate allocations of monthly shared services provided by LPM to other department leaders. 

  • Assist with other information requests across the organization as needed.

  • Assist with fixed asset accounting.

  • Maintain appropriate communication with Company accounting managers.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Work requires strong understanding of Microsoft excel including comfort with VLOOKUP and SUMIF functions, and experience using mapping tables. 

  • Work requires demonstrated analytical skills and strong understanding of GAAP. 

  • Work requires exercising independent judgment and discretion, including proposing correcting journal entries such as reclasses and write-offs.

  • Work requires strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Work requires the ability to identify and resolve problems effectively with minimum supervision in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with two to three years of relevant experience required.
