Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

 

To provide leadership and direction to the Shipping department and the inventory control necessary to support continuous improvement in the manufacturing activities consistent with plant business goals, like cost, quality, and quantity specifications.


Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop the receiving, warehouse, shipping, and material handling team.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach, train, and evaluate team members while addressing performance concerns promptly and respectfully.
  • Ensure staffing levels support daily production requirements.

Timekeeping & Attendance

  • Review, edit, and approve employee timecards in accordance with company payroll deadlines.
  • Monitor attendance, tardiness, overtime, and schedule adherence while ensuring compliance with company policies and accountability for violations.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and Payroll to resolve timekeeping discrepancies promptly.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counting, inventory audits, and transaction accuracy.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Ensure FIFO practices are followed where applicable.

Receiving, Warehouse & Shipping

  • Oversee daily receiving, storage, material movement, and shipping activities.
  • Ensure materials are received, stored, and issued accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify timely shipment of finished goods while meeting customer requirements.
  • Maintain warehouse organization using 5S and visual management principles.

Production Support

  • Ensure production lines receive materials accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, and Quality to resolve material shortages and production issues.
  • Monitor material flow to eliminate delays and bottlenecks.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, material flow, and inventory accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Metrics & Compliance

  • Track and communicate departmental KPIs to include:
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • On-Time Receiving
  • On-Time Shipping
  • Material Availability
  • Warehouse Safety
  • Cycle Count Performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Communication

  • Communicate priorities and operational issues effectively across all departments.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and provide updates on material availability and warehouse performance.
  • Escalate issues proactively while offering recommended solutions

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of supervisory experience in shipping environments.
  • Five years of experience in managing inventory (preferred)

 

Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a Distribution setting
    Solid skills with Excel preferred
  • Import Export Transport Requirements
  • RCRA and Transportation of hazardous waste
  • Creating Hazardous Waste Manifests

Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in the manufacturing facility, required to be on site.
  • Sitting, Standing,pushing, pulling, walking, and twisting as required.
  • Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds

Equipment Used:

  • General Office Equipment, PC, and various software to include JDE, including Microsoft Office,.
    Personal Protective Equipment as required.
