Job Description Summary:


 

Provides team leadership for the provision of Clinical Medical Social Work services for patients and their families. Practices professional social work and promotes advocacy in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics for Social Work and maintains a current Ohio Social Work license.

Essential Functions:
  • Models and leads the Clinical Medical Social Worker within the interdisciplinary team to improve or maintain social, emotional, functional, and physical health of patients and families.
  • Ensures ethical and sound decision-making, appropriate documentation, and appropriate interpersonal communication of the social workers for whom they are responsible.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Medical Social Work leadership, internal stakeholders and other affiliated teams in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Clinical Medical Social Work services.

Education Requirement:

MSW, required.


Licensure Requirement:

LISW, required.

LISW-S, preferred.
