Duties: Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions and break down technical problems. Develop secure high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive outcomes- oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture. Lead communities of practice across software engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software/Java Developer, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant/Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Full-stack software development using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring modules including REST, MVC, JPA, and Batch; Front-end development using React.js or Angular; Applying object-oriented programming principles such as encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism in the software development life cycle of enterprise applications; Applying design patterns including Singleton, Factory, and Observer in the design and implementation of enterprise software solutions; Designing software architecture using microservices, monolithic, and service-oriented approaches; Designing and analyzing algorithms for time and space complexity; Managing data by implementing data structures including arrays, linked lists, trees, and graphs; Managing version control using Git for branching, merging, and repository management; Driving software quality and stability through unit tests, integration tests, user acceptance tests, resiliency tests, and test-driven development; Delivering software using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; Managing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, application resilience, and security; Executing software development lifecycle phases for application design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance; Following software security practices using secure coding techniques and vulnerability assessment; Optimizing software performance using profiling, benchmarking, and refactoring. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Configuring cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform for pipeline deployments; Developing software using Python. Â
