As Training and Onboarding Specialist, you are responsible for coordinating, executing, and continuously improving the Columbus onboarding and training operations experience. This role supports new hire Induction, onboarding logistics, training scheduling, facilitator coordination, learning materials, and assigned facilitation to ensure Associates have a consistent, welcoming, and engaging onboarding experience that promotes connection, belonging, and a high-quality start at TMHNA. You’ll partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, hiring managers, trainers, and operational leaders to support onboarding effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to a culture of learning and development throughout the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Coordinate all phases of the Associate onboarding journey, beginning with pre-arrival onboarding activities through Day 90, including communications, logistics, and milestone transitions
- Facilitate new hire Induction sessions, campus tours, onboarding activities, and assigned learning and development programs. Support co-facilitation and learner engagement as needed.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new Associates throughout onboarding, providing guidance, answering questions, and fostering a welcoming and supportive transition into the organization
- Monitor onboarding progress and milestone tracking by partnering with hiring managers, trainers, and stakeholders to ensure successful transitions into role-specific training and development
- Manage day-to-day operational coordination for assigned onboarding and training programs, including scheduling, room setup, materials, participant communications, facilitator support, and issue resolution
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, hiring managers, trainers, operational leaders, and subject matter experts to support onboarding, training, and development objectives
- Support Organizational Development initiatives through coordination, facilitation, operational execution, and learner support as business needs evolve
- Maintain training records, reports, metrics, and documentation to ensure compliance, training effectiveness, and accurate reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret onboarding feedback and training data to identify trends, gaps, measure effectiveness, and recommend improvements
- Assist with the planning and support of learning events, training programs, and departmental initiatives while ensuring a positive Associate experience
- Drive continuous improvement of onboarding and training operations, learner experience, and administrative processes through continuous improvement and foundational problem-solving methodologies
What We’re Looking For:Â
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or experience in related field required
- 1 - 3 years of experience in onboarding, training coordination, human resources, facilitating training sessions or a related field required
- Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal communication, facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Proven ability to partner and build relationships cross-functionally to achieve targets
- Ability to interpret training data and identify improvement opportunities
- Ability to apply foundational problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
 Where and When You’ll Work:
- This position follows TMHNA's on-site work model and will be located in Columbus, IN.
- Travel to other TMHNA locations throughout North America will be required to support team members, learning initiatives, leadership development programs, and business partnerships.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $60,000 - $80,000/year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
