You’re looking for a position to put your affordable housing knowledge to use shaping a rapidly growing staff. You’re an organized presenter that enjoys directly teaching and coordinating education opportunities. You’re not afraid to talk to a group or shift tactics if a message isn’t resonating.   What You’ll Do: This position will provide new and existing employees the tools they need to succeed. This includes hands-on training, creating educational collateral, and acting as the coordinator of third-party training sessions. You’ll help administer the company learning management system (LMS) and get your hands dirty during one on one training sessions or group presentations.   Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Collecting information, distilling, organizing, and presenting to large or small groups. Developing and refining Woda Cooper curriculum. Develop and proof training materials. Take feedback and instruction from a wide variety of departments and individuals to create training material that reflects internal standards. Working within an LMS to upload and assign content to staff. Updating existing training as needed. Deep understanding of housing laws and regulations, as well as best practices. Organize and track various training sources to ensure accurate reporting. Create presentations and multimedia experiences to help communicate complex topics. Respond to one-on-one training requests. Projects from Training Manager as assigned. Coordinating all aspects of new employee onboarding.   Competencies: Presenting to individuals and groups. Curriculum and course creation. Communication, especially via video and PowerPoint/Canva presentations. Clearly documenting processes. Time management and organization. Data visualization and basic design. Knowledge of training and development best practice and methods.   Supervisory Responsibility: This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.   Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Occasionally, this job requires travel to remote properties, assisting at company events that require physical exertion. Nights or weekends may rarely be required.   Physical Demands:   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position will occasionally require lifting of 40lbs, and traveling to indoor or outdoor event locations, including construction sites.   Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Hours per week 40.   Travel: Up to 25% travel for education events.   Required Education and Experience: Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). History of organizing and presenting topics digitally (PowerPoint or Canva presentations, video, webinars, etc.). Experience or deep understanding of the affordable housing industry. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization. Strong customer service skills. Ability to organize, manage, and lead multiple projects.   Preferred Education and Experience: LMS management. RealPage familiarity (OneSite, AIM, Facilities, G5, and Knock). Microsoft Teams/Zoom experience. Deep understanding of HUD, RD, tax credit, 811, and other affordable housing programs.
