VCA Sawmill Animal Hospital in Columbus, OH is looking to add a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to our leadership team as a Technician Supervisor.  

About Our Hospital  

VCA Sawmill Animal Hospital is a 9-doctor practice providing high-quality veterinary care including preventive medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and client education. We take pride in fostering a collaborative, supportive culture where learning, teamwork, and professional growth are encouraged.  

Now that our renovation is complete, our facility features 10 exam rooms, 2 surgical suites, a dental procedure room, new CT imaging services, a state-of-the-art physical therapy department, and an updated grooming department.

We’re looking for a leader who brings both strong medical experience and effective leadership skills to the table. Clear and consistent communication is essential in this role, and we’re excited to welcome someone who is passionate about mentoring others, driving positive culture, and bringing fresh ideas to help move our hospital forward. 

 

You will work alongside our Medical Director and Hospital Manager to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently, and foster a winning environment. You will have the opportunity to build your leadership skills and have a clear career path. 

 

In addition to all Veterinary Technician responsibilities, duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Implementing department policies and procedures. 

  • Scheduling staff and conducting team meetings. 

  • Accurately handling and recording controlled drugs. 

  • Interviewing, training and mentoring new and existing staff. 

  • Delivering employee performance feedback. 

  • Monitoring day-to-day activities and engaging with support staff.   

Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications:
