FLSA Status: Part-Time | Exempt

Starting Compensation: $17,700 - $20,800 Annually


Who We Are

The Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) serves Ohio’s public school board members and the diverse districts they represent through superior service, unwavering advocacy, and creative solutions. OSBA is composed of more than 700 school boards and nearly 3,500 elected and appointed members representing local, city, exempted village, career center, and educational service center districts throughout Ohio. OSBA helps school board members and educational leaders strengthen public education and student success throughout Ohio.

Overview                                    

The Regional Manager serves as a key liaison between OSBA and one of its regional organizations, helping foster strong member engagement, effective governance, and meaningful professional development opportunities. In this role, you will coordinate regional activities, support board and committee operations, and work collaboratively with school board members, administrators, and OSBA leadership to advance the association’s mission and strategic priorities.

 

This position offers an opportunity to serve as a connector, facilitator, and trusted resources who build relationships across Ohio’s educational community while helping support programs, conferences, leadership initiatives, and member participation within the region.


What Will You Do?

Regional Leadership and Coordination

  • Coordinate and support activities for the regional organization and Executive Committee
  • Assist in the development of regional goals and implementation of OSBA’s strategic plan
  • Abide by OSBA’s Region Operation Guidelines and perform duties outlined therein
  • Arrange and facilitate regional Executive Committee meetings and conferences
  • Serve as secretary to the regional Executive Committee

Member Engagement and Support

  • Advise and consult with school board members and administrators
  • Promote OSBA activities and encourage member involvement in governance and committees
  • Coordinate regional representation on OSBA committees and initiatives
  • Support member retention and engagement efforts

Conference and Event Coordination

  • Coordinate annual spring and fall regional conferences
  • Serve on the OSBA Capital Conference Planning Task Force
  • Partner with OSBA staff to support hospitality and event logistics

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Maintain committee assignments and records
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial coordination
  • Prepare reports and communications for regional leadership
  • Ensure regional policies and procedures align with OSBA governance requirements

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of public education
  • Experience working with boards of education or educational organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and relationship-building abilities
  • Leadership skills and sound professional judgment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

  • Remote work
  • Weekend and evening work
  • Travel and off-site work, including occasional out-of-state and overnight travel may be required (must provide own insured means of transportation)
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Repetitive hand motion
