Description:

As a casual/per diem Patient Safety Attendant (PSA), you will float to Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel Grove City, Mount Carmel St. Ann's and Mount Carmel Dublin

Position Purpose:  

  • In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Patient Safety Attendant provides support for a safe environment for the patient who may be mentally/emotionally incapacitated, confused, or at risk of injuring themselves or others. Provides observation of patient activities under the direction of the registered nurse assigned to manage the patient’s plan of care. 

 

What You Will Do: 

  • Accompanies patients to different departments. 

  • Assists with patient’s personal needs including feeding, positioning, toileting, ambulation as appropriate. 

  • Maintains a clean, neat environment for the patient. 

  • Collaborates with other health care workers regarding patient plan of care and treatment. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Education: High school graduate preferred 

  • Experience: Previous patient care experience helpful but not necessary 

  • Effective Communication Skills 

  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions
