Position Title: Security Resource Assistant - Evenings Supervisor’s Title: Facilities Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Part Time Job Classification & Pay Range: Facilities & Maintenance (Security), minimum starting rate of $15 per hour, additional depending on experience. This position will primarily work evenings and every other Saturday. Duties/Responsibilities: Patrols and monitors an assigned areas. Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds. Contacts dispatch, law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency. Documents incidents that occur and notifies Supervisor/Security Resource Officer. At closing: checks doors, windows, restrooms, gates and other areas to ensure the property is secure. Investigates reports of suspicious activity on the property. Reasonably, non-physically, detains persons suspected of inappropriate behavior until law enforcement arrives. Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises. Performs other Facilities/Maintenance duties as assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. Non-confrontational verbal communication skills required. Authoritative verbal communication skills to be performed when needed. Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations. Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Security guard training certification a plus, but not required. Previous experience a plus, but not required. Physical Requirements: Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking monitoring events/property. Qualifications
