Provides assistance to management including: knowledgeable of policies and procedures; assists and participates in education of employees on equipment, policies and procedures needed to operate or function a particular work area(s); addressing staff and/or customer questions and concerns (as well as informing management of such situations); and exercises occasional independent decision making. Guides and supports other students to sustain and maintain appropriate levels of operation service levels. Upholds a high level of professionalism and attention to friendly, accurate and prompt service; is expected to smile, greet and make eye contact at every customer interaction; ultimately responsible for providing an extraordinary dining and/or event experience. Assists with general cleaning and other duties as assigned. Some previous work, coursework, and/or leadership experience is necessary. Required to successfully complete a background check.  Required to successfully complete department allergen training, knife skills training, food safety training and all current required Student Life and OSU financial training within first 30 days of employment. *If employed within a unit that necessitates the responsibility of driving a University Vehicle, student will be required to have a driver check run by Student Life HR to become registered as an authorized driver.

Additional Information:

The starting pay rate for the position is $14.50 per hour. This position is located at Sloopy's Diner.
