We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Aide to join our Child Care Center team. This position is designed for a student worker who will support the center's daily operations by assisting in the care and education of children ages 6 weeks through kindergarten. The role requires excellent customer service skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to representing the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with full-time staff in the care and education of young children.

• Ensure the health and safety of children at all times.

• Facilitate and participate in activities that support children's developmental progress, including social, emotional, cognitive, language, creative, and motor skills.

• Assist in meeting children’s routine needs, such as feeding, toileting, and resting.

• Perform basic administrative duties as required.

• Represent the department and the university in alignment with our mission and values.

Required Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of child development.

• Dependability and flexibility.

• Strong organizational and customer service skills.

• Ability to work effectively with a team with wide-ranging perspectives and experiences.

Additional Information:

This is a temporary position intended for student workers. The role involves performing duties that are clear, direct, and routine in nature, supporting both educational and care-giving activities within the child care center.
