Job Description:

 

Overview
Rogue Fitness is growing and seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Application Development team in Columbus, OH. As a Sr. QA Analyst, you will be playing an important role in testing brand new software systems which will elevate the company's technical capabilities to the next level. You will be working closely with one or more agile scrum teams in the Application Development department and enhancing our processes and improving the quality of the software we deliver to our stakeholders.

The Sr. QA Analyst is a fully onsite role in Columbus, Ohio. Remote work is not available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
 

Responsibilities

Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Collaborate with the development team to understand system requirements and design comprehensive test plans for our software systems which power our manufacturing, supply chain, finance and warehouse processes

  • Perform thorough testing on software components developed primarily in C#, Vue, and TypeScript. Execute manual and automated tests and help us build a robust automated test suite to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Rogue's software systems. Identify and report defects with clear steps for reproduction and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution

Documentation:

  • Document test cases, test results, and defects to provide comprehensive and organized information for the development team

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of QA documentation and processes

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and other cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and ensure a high-quality deliverable

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and minimum of 3 years of related work experience OR Associates Degree and minimum of 5 years of related work experience

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Developing automated tests in Playwright for UI and Postman for APIs. Experience with other automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.) are a plus

  • Programming in TypeScript or JavaScript, or other object-oriented programming languages

  • Writing advanced SQL queries and stored procedures to set up test scenarios and verify test results

  • Familiarity with Git for version control (GitBash, GitKraken or other various Git-related tools)

  • Searching logs and traces with observability tools such as Grafana; writing queries in Tempo (TraceQL) and Loki

  • Analyzing large datasets; able to reason about and validate complex mathematical or algorithmic outputs

  • Leveraging Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude Sonnet, etc.) and Model Context Protocols to aid productivity
