As a Radiation Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in the delivery of safe, accurate, and compassionate cancer treatment. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Radiation Oncologist, you will administer high-quality radiation therapy treatments, ensuring each patient receives care aligned with their prescribed treatment plan. Schedule Highlights include four 10-hour shifts per week, early in and early out to avoid rush hour, rotating days off with a 4-day weekend every 3 weeks, no weekends, holidays, or call, and balanced responsibilities rotating between Simulation and Treatment. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions and charts, educating patients, preparing treatment rooms and equipment, positioning patients safely, performing imaging and simulations, delivering radiation therapy, monitoring patients continuously, documenting treatment details, adhering to safety guidelines, performing equipment quality checks, managing supplies, participating in quality initiatives, staying current with training and licensure, supporting clinical protocol development, and contributing to a collaborative environment. Requirements include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Therapy Technology program and current or eligible ARRT certification. Physical demands involve frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
