This student position assists the Turfgrass Manager and the Assistant Manager of Grounds at Waterman with the maintenance of turfgrass research plots, as a well as the general upkeep of landscapes and grounds at Waterman.

Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: operating hand-held and ride-on equipment; assisting with plot establishment and ongoing maintenance; performing general landscaping and grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, edging, raking, mulching, and watering; and collaborating with Waterman, CEARC, and MALC staff as needed.

Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees.  Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment.  Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role.  Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.

Positions will start as soon as possible and go through end of 2026 or one semester after the student graduates from undergrad.
