Our Environmental Services team helps create a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients, families, and staff—playing a vital role in patient care and experience. Role Overview:Â
Perform daily and thorough cleaning using the Seven Step Cleaning Guidelines in the Environmental Services Aide (ESA) ManualÂ
Safely remove general, infectious waste and soiled linen following hospital procedures and safety guidelinesÂ
Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to safety and infection control standardsÂ
Use equipment such as the cardboard baler and trash compactor properly and safelyÂ
Support unit operations by completing small moves or room setups as neededÂ
Participate in department meetings and required training sessionsÂ
Complete additional projects or assignments as directed by leadershipÂ
Share ideas for improving efficiency, safety, and workflow as part of MSK’s culture of continuous improvementÂ
Key Qualifications:Â
No prior Environmental Services experience required — if you meet the basic qualifications and bring the right mindset, we’ll provide the training you need to succeedÂ
Ability to operate or learn to use floor-cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and pushing for extended periodsÂ
Capable of lifting at least 30 lbsÂ
Basic computer knowledge to support communication and trainingÂ

Schedule: Part-time; 20 hours per weekÂ
Every other Weekend and Rotating holidaysÂ
5 shifts per weekÂ
Hours: 7pm-11pmÂ
Reports to Supervisor, Environmental ServicesÂ
