Responsibilities

  • Support equipment, vehicle, and tool operations for Insituform Area Operations.

  • Manage and maintain Area based equipment.

  • Supervise and direct employees in support of equipment and areas of responsibility.

  • Maintain equipment file records such as Registrations, Inspections Data sheets and other required documentation.         

  • Supervise procurement procedures for field and equipment support.

  • Provide overall equipment and tool support for the Areas assigned.

  • Maintain communication with operations to provide needed tools and equipment.

  • Address Area equipment requirements / issues as requested by operations.

  • Manage service and repairs thru Fleet Management Company and vendors.

  • Ensure all equipment is safe to operate and AZURIA policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Maintain accurate location and assignments and report through Equipment Status Change Report (ESCR).

  • Monitor Utilization-Control inventory to maintain high utilization.

  • Report Equipment status and utilization weekly to the Area Office.

  • Coordinate delivery of tools and equipment so it is timely, and units are properly identified and numbered.

  • Maintain regular communication with Operations Managers to ensure efficient utilization of equipment.

  • Assist with equipment rentals as needed.

  • Ensure proper inventory is taken and address tool and equipment losses and damages.

  • Monitor and maintain the small tools.

  • Assist in specialty vehicle refurbishing and upgrades.

  • Facilitate, schedule, and oversee maintenance/repairs on specialty equipment in region.

  • Evaluate and ensure all equipment is in safe working order always.

  • Ensure that equipment in the Area is maintained in accordance with AZURIA policies.

  • Have a thorough understanding of the Equipment Maintenance Requirements.

  • Have a thorough understanding of Local and Federal DOT Compliance.

  • Have a thorough understanding of Local and Federal Emission Requirements.

  • Identify and communicate required improvements to the Director Asset Management.

Qualifications

  • Equipment Manager Specialist (EMS).

  • Certified Equipment Manager (CEM) preferred.

  • Safety conscious.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Thorough understanding of specialized and generic equipment required for Insituform Operations.

  • Must have Strong Electro/Mechanical Skills, Troubleshooting, Basic Accounting, and Computer skills.

  • Need basic understanding of Hydraulic, Electrical, Pneumatic and Mechanical Systems.

  • Ability to educate and train employees on the safety and proper use of the equipment.

  • General computer skills including excel, email and internet research.
