Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 3 for East Texas A&M University, located in Commerce, TX.  This leadership role is responsible for the day to day management of multiple high-volume retail concepts include Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, Jimmy Johns, Ibasho Sushi, c-store, and campus concessions. The Retail Manager 3 will ensure operational excellence, financial performance, food safety compliance, and an exceptional guest experience across all locations.

We are seeking a dynamic retail leader with proven experience managing nationally branded foodservice concepts and fast-paced, customer-focused operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail foodservice management, including experience with concepts such as Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Jimmy John's, sushi, or similar quick-service and concession environments. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing management and frontline teams, driving sales and profitability, managing labor and inventory, maintaining brand standards, and fostering strong client relationships. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence, team development, and delivering an outstanding dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

What You'll Do

  • lead frontline teams, mentoring them in accurate cash handling, operations, open and closing processes
  • train and manage department HACCP Safety Programs, Sodexo programs and daily operation standards.
  • conduct retail brand standard audits (in-house and national brands)
  • maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands)
  • manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily retail food service operations
  • ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place
  • manage vendor relationships and compliance
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place
