Summary of Position
The Human Resource (HR) Intern will assist with the day-to-day administration of HR functions. The HR Intern will be passionate about recruiting, onboarding, and supporting employees throughout the organization. Duties include but are not limited to screening, recruiting, conducting interviews, working in collaboration with hiring managers, and assisting with the performance evaluation process.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Able to plan, prioritize and complete assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy. Ability to work well under time constraints while maintaining accurate records. Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues as appropriate.
· Experience: 2 years of proven experience preferred.
· Additional skills required:
o Good understanding of the full cycle recruitment process.
o Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), like BambooHR preferred. Experience with applicant tracking system (ATS).
o High degree of interpersonal skills both verbal and written, and ability to relate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and external candidates/customers.
o Great organizational skills and attention to details. Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
o Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information.
o Ability to build/maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
· Travel required- Rowan County and Cabarrus County
Education: Associates degree in Business Administration, human resources or relevant field. One year of work experience in human resources or related field.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide prompt and courteous service to all internal and external customers, supporting the goals and mission of Cabarrus Rowan Community Health Centers (CRCHC).
2. Assist HR Coordinator/Managers with the development of job descriptions and update as necessary.
3. Assists during the pre and post-hiring process, manages and maintains job postings, ensures timely response to questions from hiring managers, applicants, and new hires, coordinates scheduling of phone screens, and interviews.
4. Exercise judgment in selection of qualified candidates and presentation to hiring managers and provides HR guidance.
5. Assist with submission of background checks/verifications and communicate with new hires to ensure completion of pre-employment screening.
6. Assist with new hire orientation inclusive of preparing new hire/onboarding packets. Assist with ensuring receipt of proper legal employment documentation and preparation of paperwork needed to create new employee files.
7. Provides general and administrative support for HR, writes letters, makes calls and assist with maintaining accurate personnel records including personal data, compensation, benefits, performance evaluations, termination data in conformance with applicable laws.
8. Update salaries and other authorized personnel data to the HRIS as necessary.
9. Assist with processing employees concern and respond in a timely manner.
10. Support HR Coordinator in Suiteval annual performance review process.
11. Answer’s verification of employment and salary request to outside agencies and submit response in timely manner.
12. Assist with scheduling and preparation of HR related meetings (new hire orientation, trainings etc.).
13. Serve as back up in the absence of the HR Coordinator.
14. Assist with special projects as assigned by HR Manager.
15. Keep HR Manager informed of day-to-day operation and questions regarding personnel or benefit questions
16. Perform other duties as assigned.
