The Pass & Seymour business of Legrand is seeking an Industrial Engineering Intern for their Concord, NC office. Working with the engineering team, this intern will gain experience/knowledge with Injection Molding, Extrusion, and Stamping. They will work in an office/manufacturing environment, steel toe boots will be required. We are looking for someone will the following:

 

Main Job Duties:

  • Data Analysis: predictive modeling, data aggregation/summarization
  • Automated reporting: Use VBA or R to create reports then store in Access, SQL Server
  • Root Cause Investigation: Both manual investigation and data analysis to determine root cause of inventory inaccuracies within the facility
  • Process improvement: Time studies, standard operating procedure documentation, process mapping
  • Manual and systematic data collection
  • Process optimization
  • Ability to communicate
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Meet critical deadlines
  • Interact with managers, staff, and floor workers

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Junior or Senior in, or recent graduate of, an accredited bachelor’s program in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Data Science and Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or other relevant major

 

Experience:

  • Related course work

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Must have good mechanical skills.
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to efficiently summarize information in an effective manner.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail. Ability to use internet and web-based resources efficiently and effectively.
