Role Summary
The Marketing Communications Lead owns the strategy, execution, and quality of Rhino Tool House's outward-facing marketing — across digital, print, and in-person channels. This role goes beyond running channels: it owns the campaigns, content, and messaging that create real demand in the market.
This role works in close, daily partnership with the Marketing Technology Lead. The division is simple: this position owns what goes to market and why — the Marketing Technology Lead owns the systems that capture, route, and nurture the demand it creates. Neither role works well without the other.
This is a mid-level, hands-on position on a small, fast-moving team supporting a $200 million business. Success requires the judgment to prioritize without heavy direction and the experience to know where to focus first.
Core Responsibilities
1. Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Develops and leads marketing campaigns across email, social, web, and events — built specifically to generate qualified interest, not just activity.
- Sets channel mix, messaging angle, and strategy for each campaign, informed by what is and isn't generating results.
- Partners with Marketing Operations & Demand Lead to track campaign performance and feed lead quality and volume back into planning.
2. Content Development for Demand Generation
- Develops content — case studies, literature, website content, social posts — engineered to produce leads, not just presence.
- Works with technical and sales teams to translate real capabilities into content that resonates with active buyers.
- Maintains a steady publishing cadence so channels stay active and current.
3. Brand & Message Consistency
- Owns consistency of voice and position across every outward communication.
- Reviews materials before release and corrects inconsistencies or gaps.
- Keeps messaging grounded in actual capability, not general claims.
4. Website & Digital Presence
   Â
    • Maintains and evolves the company website — product pages, landing pages, and resource content — with a focus on what drives inquiries, not just what looks current.
5. Event & Trade Show Leadership
- Owns planning and execution of major company events, including industry trade shows, the national sales meeting, and Center of Excellence open house events.
- Coordinates logistics, messaging, and materials so the company shows up prepared and consistent.
- Leads on-site execution and directs Marketing Support and outside vendors as needed.
6. Partnership with Technology Lead
- Works in close, ongoing partnership with the Marketing Technology Lead: this role owns what goes to market and why; Marketing Technology owns CRM discipline, lead routing, and the nurture process that converts that output into pipeline.
- Shares accountability for making sure campaign performance data flows back into future planning.
7. Team direction for marketing support person
- Helps direct day-to-day work for Marketing Support.
- Assigns tasks, reviews output, and ensures work is accurate and on time.
- Helps develop Marketing Support's skills over time.
8. Internal Coordination
- Works closely with sales, engineering, and operations to stay aligned with current priorities and translate real business activity into external communication.
- Partners with the Director of Marketing on execution of company-wide brand initiatives.

- Marketing Support's workload is organized and delegated effectively

- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
- Strong writing and content development skills
- Experience planning and executing trade shows or major company events preferred
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy on a small, fast-moving team
