Position Summary:
As a Parts Specialist, you will support our tractor and trailer maintenance facility by ensuring the accurate and timely procurement, organization, and tracking of parts and supplies. Your responsibilities will include ordering parts, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with vendors and technicians, and completing data entry related to parts usage, purchase orders, and inventory records.
 Your efficiency, attention to detail, and communication skills will help keep our maintenance operations running smoothly.
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Responsibilities:
Parts Ordering & Vendor Coordination
- Order parts and supplies for truck and trailer repairs.
- Work with vendors to track orders, confirm pricing, and verify delivery timelines.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with parts suppliers.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for all parts and materials.
- Receive, label, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively reorder parts as needed.
Data Entry & Documentation
- Enter parts usage, purchase orders, and inventory adjustments into maintenance systems.
- Maintain accurate digital records for parts, invoices, and work orders.
- Assist with reporting on parts usage, costs, and inventory metrics.
Maintenance Shop Support
- Assist technicians by locating and distributing needed parts.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts room.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the maintenance department as required.
Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage inventory and documentation with precision.
- Dependability: Reliable and consistent in completing tasks and supporting maintenance staff.
- Communication Skills: Comfortable interacting with vendors, technicians, and internal teams.
- Experience:Â
- Preferred: 1+ year experience in parts management, inventory, or maintenance support.
- Data entry experience strongly preferred.
- Tech‑Savvy: Comfortable using inventory systems, maintenance software, and office tools.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain order in a fast‑paced shop environment.
