Job purpose
To operate assigned equipment and functions; assist with coordinator activities and projects. Assist material handling team members to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual target outputs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintain all responsibilities listed in the shipping and receiving responsibilitiesÂ
- Help coordinate employees’ scheduling to ensure uninterrupted operation of shipping and receiving areas.Â
- Delegate or assume responsibilities in the absence or unavailability of Material handlers
- Take an active role in implementing and maintaining all quality-related action plans.
- Research and report inventory discrepancies to managementÂ
- Actively participate in all job-related improvement plans, such as the 5 S program
- Ensure implementation of prevention maintenance program.
- Assist in all training processes for new and existing employees and ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma required
- Associate degree preferred.
- Has demonstrated skills necessary to be a highly rated shipping, receiving, and material handling responsibilities. Â
- Ability to develop the skills required to accept leadership roles.
- Forklift CertifiedÂ
- Demonstrated reliability and responsibility.
- Knowledge of overall warehouse operations, including following both written and verbal instructions, housekeeping standards, and warehouse policies.
- WMS experience with Epicor preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role oversees shipping, receiving, warehouse associates, and material handlers team members.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8-12 hours per shift
- Must be able to lift/push 45lbs. individually and 50+ lbs. with the help of a team member
- Be able to bend, stoop, reach, and kneel
- The ability to use arms/hands/fingers to feel and reach
- Must be able to communicate with team members using auditory and visual skills

Safety Requirements
- Must be able to complete safety training and pass forklift certification upon hire.
- Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.
