The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.Education :
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing within 18 Months of Program Start Date - RequiredÂ
Additional Experience Requirements:
Less than 6 months experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
Certifications/Licensures:
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing – Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association – Required
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - For units that require ACLS - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program – Required
PALS - American Heart Association - For units that require PALS - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program – Required
NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics - For units that require NRP - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program – Required
Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test – For units that require rhythm recognition competency- Must Pass test upon completion of the first 6 months of the training program- Required
NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency - Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis – For units that require NIHSS - must complete during the first 6 months of the training program - Required

In order to be considered for this program, you must have a CA RN license no later than August 11th. Program will begin on September 8th.

We will be interviewing in person throughout the month of July. Interviews will be onsite at both our Walnut Creek and Concord Locations.
