The Waterjet Operator at SDC will set up and operate the waterjet cutting center at SDC. This individual will be detail-oriented, reliable and hard-working and will also assist in day-to-day operations in our shop.

What You’ll Do:

Set-up and operate the waterjet cutting center.
Responsible for maintaining machine shop cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep, sweeping/cleaning floors, and organizing materials.
Responsible for maintaining waterjet cutting center equipment including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Assist manufacturing in preparing and finishing stock material and custom parts including saw cutting and basic machining operations.
Maintains a safe and clean workspace.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

Familiarity with manufacturing processes, industry standards and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to frequently lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to support overtime, as needed.
