The Cost Accountant position processes all hourly payroll, weekly, in addition to playing a key role in supporting vendor invoice processing, maintaining product data, and handling general administrative functions for the Connellsville location. This position ensures the accuracy of payroll, financial, and inventory records, facilitates smooth office operations, and supports cross-departmental coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly hourly payroll for all plant employees, ensuring accuracy through regular audits and timely submission.
  •  Maintain and track weekly work hours and overtime records.
  • Prepare and process all vendor invoices, including miscellaneous invoices for the Connellsville facility.
  • Match purchase orders with receivers and invoices to ensure accuracy before processing payments.
  • Maintain and update the database for all items manufactured in Connellsville, including new item entries and updates to existing items.
  • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of physical inventory.
  • Process product returns, credits, and resolve invoice issues with vendors.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal audit requirements and vendor agreements.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to facilitate new vendor setup and ensure timely payments.
  • Manage CHEP / PECO pallet transfers
  • Generate month end reports.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks, including but not limited to:
     
    • Ordering office and operational supplies
    • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
    • Coordinating overnight shipping

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting or Business or relevant experience.
  • Experience in administrative support, purchasing, or inventory control.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, AS400 and Filemaker, a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
