Position Overview
R.J. Kielty is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installations for new residential construction projects. This position is responsible for leading field teams, coordinating projects, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, project plans, and company expectations.
The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable leader with extensive new construction electrical experience. Experience with new construction estimating is a plus.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and support electrical crews working on new residential construction projects
- Coordinate project schedules, staffing, materials, and equipment
- Review electrical plans, specifications, scopes of work, and job requirements
- Ensure installations meet NEC requirements, local codes, approved plans, and company quality standards
- Conduct jobsite inspections and monitor projects from rough-in through final completion
- Coordinate with builders, project managers, inspectors, and other trades
- Identify and resolve jobsite issues efficiently
- Monitor productivity and ensure projects remain on schedule
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress to management
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain clean, organized jobsites
- Train, mentor, and provide direction to electricians and apprentices
- Assist with material takeoffs, project planning, and estimating when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in new construction electrical installation and supervision
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, NEC requirements, and local building codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and crews
- New construction estimating experience is a plus
- Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable, professional, safety-focused, and team-oriented
