About the Role:
Pasco Turf & Tractor LLC / Carts Unlimited is looking for a skilled Power Equipment & Small Engine Technician to join our team in Zephyrhills, FL! If you love getting your hands dirty, solving mechanical puzzles, and keeping equipment running at peak performance, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and power equipment including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance such as tune-ups, oil changes, blade sharpening, and belt replacements
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on a variety of equipment
- Inspect and test equipment before and after repairs to ensure proper function and safety
- Document service work, parts used, and labor time accurately in work orders
- Communicate repair status and recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a small engine or power equipment technician required
- Familiarity with brands such as Husqvarna, Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler, or similar
- Ability to diagnose and repair 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, carburetors, and fuel injection systems
- Must have own hand tools or be willing to acquire them
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
- Reliable, self-motivated, and a team player with good communication skills
