Position Summary:
The Packer – White Glove Delivery & Casegoods is responsible for preparing luxury casegoods furniture for shipment by carefully inspecting, wrapping, protecting, and packaging finished products to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. This role plays a critical part in preserving the craftsmanship and quality of Vanguard Furniture by using specialized packing methods designed for white glove delivery and premium customer service.
Position Responsibilities:
- Inspect finished furniture for cosmetic defects, damage, or quality concerns prior to packaging.Â
- Carefully wrap and package casegoods using protective materials to prevent damage during transportation and delivery.Â
- Apply white glove packaging standards to ensure products arrive in showroom-quality condition.Â
- Install protective materials such as foam, blankets, corner protectors, plastic wrap, and custom packaging as required.Â
- Verify product identification, customer information, hardware, and accessories are complete before shipment.Â
- Assemble cartons, crates, or specialty packaging as needed.Â
- Secure furniture for shipment while protecting delicate finishes, veneers, glass, mirrors, stone, and decorative components.Â
- Work closely with Quality Assurance, Shipping, and Production teams to resolve packaging or product concerns.Â
- Follow shipping specifications and customer-specific packing requirements.Â
- Safely move furniture using carts, dollies, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.Â
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Â
- Meet production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Â
- Previous manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, or furniture handling experience preferred but not required.Â
- Experience handling high-end or luxury furniture is a plus.Â
- Ability to safely lift and move large furniture pieces.Â
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Understanding of proper furniture handling techniques.Â

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.Â
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.Â
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance or appropriate equipment.Â
- Frequent handling of large furniture pieces.Â
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, carts, dollies, and other material handling equipment.Â
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
