Position Responsibilities: |
- Assists PM in ordering raw materials and supplies
|
- Monitors stock levels and organizes stock area
- Unloads products and supplies from suppliers and organizes in stock area
- Fills and transports orders throughout the plant
- Communicates with other departments to keep consistent flow of supplies for teams
- Manages production of S Team product with outside upholstery contractor
- Receives production tickets
- Maintains weekly production spreadsheets
- Receives raw materials and schedules transport
- Receives, inspects, and transports finished product to wrap line
- Maintains daily production spreadsheets
- Polls scheduling progress by team and updates spreadsheet for VP Operations
- Maintains orders for Mini Bed program for retailers
- Trouble shoots cushion and poly issues
- Maintains neat and orderly work station
- Wears required safety glasses, work shoes and other PPE as defined for work area; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor
- Performs stretching exercises.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor

Essential Skills and Experience: |
- Must be knowledgeable in upholstery methods.
- English required for reading tickets and job notes.
- Must be organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others.

Physical demands and work environment: |
- Lift / Carry: lift up to 50 lbs.; team lift greater weights.
- Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk 8+ hours.
| - Reach / Handle: Frequently required to reach, handle various items.
- Crouch/Bend/Stoop/Kneel/Crawl:Â Frequently required when loading/unloading pallets, trucks, and shelves.
- Push / Pull:Â Frequently moving materials on pallets, hand trucks, and buggies.
- Environment:Â Indoors, not environmentally controlled
- Automation:Â Scissor lift for positioning when needed.
- Vision:Â Color determination for quality control and correct material selection.
- Near Acuity: Requires close vision of less than 3 feet, with or without corrective lenses, for
 precision. |
