Job DetailsJob Location: Conover, NC 28613Position Type: Part TimeJob Shift: HourlyQualificationsJob Summary Implement all water safety policies and procedures; supervise members/guests in and around the swimming pool area Job Description Vacuums pool bottoms; empties automatic skimmer; skims bugs and other debris from surface to prepare pool for daily use Supervises and observes swimmers at all time to ensure their safety Administers to minor injuries such as small cuts and bruises of swimmers Maintains amenities in and cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms and showers Assists in organizing clinics and private swimming lessons for members as directed by the Fitness Supervisor Checks first aid supplies and reports needed items Enforces rules of conduct Organizes and monitors pool games at all times Places rescue tube and ring buoy on the lifeguard chair in the morning and at the end of the day returns these and all swimming aids and pool toys to the lifeguard locker Straightens the pool and other areas at the end of the day Maintains all necessary records determined by the Athletic Director Attends all meetings as directed by the Athletic Director External Qualifications Lifeguard certification First Aid/CPR certification Physical Demands Must be able to sit on lifeguard stand for 50 minute time frames Must be able to stay in sun for 8-10 hrs a day Must be able to swim as needed for rescues   The above-mentioned information is not all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required, merely a general description of the nature and level of work.
