Responsibilities
- Assemble hydraulic oilfield equipment, including pressure gauges, cylinders, and weight indicators, following detailed instructions and specifications.
- Ensure all components are properly aligned, fitted, and secured during the assembly process.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify any defects or deviations from standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
- Collaborate with quality control personnel to address any issues or non-conformances identified during the assembly process.
- Keep accurate records of assembled equipment, including serial numbers, batch codes, and any relevant data.
- Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with assembled equipment, working closely with the engineering team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting process enhancements and best practices.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; relevant certification or training in assembly or manufacturing is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar assembly role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to work with small and precise components.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Willingness to undergo training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and convey assembly-related information.
