Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: CONROE, TX 77301Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $23.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayPosition Overview: The Dyno Tester is responsible for the setup, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation of downhole drilling motors using dynamometer (dyno) testing equipment. This position ensures motors meet operational, quality, and customer specifications prior to field deployment. The Dyno Tester works closely with maintenance, repair, quality, and operations teams to deliver reliable downhole drilling equipment to customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up and operate dynamometer testing equipment for downhole drilling motors. Perform functional, performance, and pressure testing of positive displacement motors (PDMs) and related drilling tools. Monitor and record motor performance data, including torque, RPM, pressure differential, flow rates, and efficiency. Perform pre-test and post-test inspections of motors and associated components. Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained in proper working condition. Follow all HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and procedures. Assist with motor teardown, assembly, and repair activities as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing reliability and testing efficiency. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in oilfield equipment testing, motor repair, manufacturing, or related mechanical field preferred. Knowledge of downhole drilling motors and drilling tool operations preferred. Knowledge of power section configurations and specs preferred. Basic computer skills, including data entry and reporting. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Experience with dynamometer testing systems. Knowledge of positive displacement motor (PDM) performance characteristics. Familiarity with API standards and oilfield quality systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, and fast-paced environment. Ability to comprehend production requirements. Ability to speak, read, and write the English language fluently. Ability to operate torque machine, overhead crane, forklift, and other related equipment. Ability to read tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
