Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Splicing Administrator to support our fiber optic construction and splicing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate data entry, invoice processing, work order creation, and quality control using ArcGIS mapping systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring project documentation, payments, and fiber network records are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain project records using Microsoft Excel.
  • Review, verify, and approve vendor invoices for processing and payment.
  • Create and manage work orders to support timely payment and project completion.
  • Utilize ArcGIS to review, update, and verify fiber optic network maps.
  • Perform quality control on fiber optic splicing and cable placement documentation.
  • Compare field documentation against GIS records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field technicians, and accounting personnel to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized electronic records and ensure all project documentation is complete.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, sorting, filtering, and data management.
  • Experience with invoice approval and work order processing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or related experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications or fiber optic network construction.
  • Familiarity with outside plant (OSP) fiber documentation and mapping.
  • Experience with quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes.
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS mapping software.
  • Understanding of fiber optic construction, splicing, and cable placement practices.
