This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production of quality products. Performs routine inspections, safety checks, and quality control testing to verify compliance with established production, safety, and product specifications. Performs production and material records, supports product and material changeovers, and follows standard operating procedures to maximize equipment performance and product quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:Â
- Follows safety guidelines and procedures set for this role.
- Always wears the assigned PPE and follows the PPE guidelines set by the business.
- Does not operate any equipment, machinery, or tool if not trained to operate.
- Performs pre-operation inspection to ensure the equipment is safe and ready and in safe operating conditions.
- Follows LOTO and OSHA requirements outlined by the EHS department and based on the Standard Operating Procedures for this equipment.
- Ensures all safety requirements and controls are respected and executed at their extrusion line / work environment.Â
- Reports all non-conformance related to safety, quality, performance or any other deficiencies.
- Sets up the materials as per the production schedule to ensure quality and performance of the line.
- Communicates equipment failure or malfunction to the maintenance team or Supervisor immediately.
- Supports the changeover process by performing the necessary steps in order to ensure accurate and efficient procedures.
- Supports the production flow by organizing the materials and inventory control tasks during and after completing the production process.
- Executes the quality Plan and conducts inspections and tests on the product and raw material.
- Creates the necessary documentation for raw material and records production.
- Other duties assigned by the management team to ensure the completion of production and based on the needs of the business.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or GED desirable but not required.
