This role is responsible for helping lead the team, maintaining service and product quality, supporting financial and inventory goals, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Lead and motivate team members to provide exceptional customer service and uphold company standards. Supervise opening and closing procedures and ensure shift readiness. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance. Support in inventory management, ordering, and cost control. Handle customer issues professionally and work to resolve concerns quickly. Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations. Monitor labor, sales, and productivity metrics to support financial performance. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment. Serve as manager-on-duty in the absence of the General Manager.   Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION 1–2 years of experience in a fast-casual restaurant, coffee shop, or hospitality setting. Proven track record in leadership, team development, and achieving business goals. Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and customer service standards. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in POS systems and basic business software (e.g., Excel, scheduling tools). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Demands: The Assistant Manager role requires the ability to stand and walk for long periods, typically up to eight hours or more during a shift. The position also involves regular bending, reaching, and lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Frequent use of hands and arms is necessary for operating espresso machines, preparing food and drinks, and handling POS transactions. Effective verbal communication is required to lead the team and engage with customers. Visual acuity is important for supervising operations and maintaining quality control.
