Overview

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) performs both receptionist and minor clinical support duties to ensure efficient daily operations within the clinic. This role is dedicated to supporting one assigned provider and serves as the primary point of contact for that provider’s patients.

 


Responsibilities

 
  • Manage all front desk duties for an assigned provider, including patient check-in and check-out
 
  • Serve as the sole CSR supporting one provider’s daily schedule and patient flow
 
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain the provider’s calendar
 
  • Answer incoming patient calls, address inquiries, and route messages to the provider as appropriate
 
  • Communicate with patients regarding lab results as directed by the provider
 
  • Assist with obtaining prior authorizations as needed
 
  • Process, manage, and distribute incoming and outgoing provider faxes
 
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the patient chart when required
 
  • Provide occasional coverage and support for other staff members as needed

 


Qualifications

 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
 
  • Basic understanding of medical office procedures preferred
 
  • Experience with scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus
